The Hold Fast to Dreams Poetry Park, located between Ash and Reed on East 22nd Street in Erie, PA, was designed to bring beauty to the inner city, to provide a beautiful and safe gathering space for creative programs, and to provide a model that can be replicated throughout Erie’s inner city. Inherent in this view is the belief that beauty and art can change our thought processes, elevate our perceptions, and nurture the natural beauty of our souls. These ideas captured my attention, in large part because they align beautifully with the work I have undertaken over the past 15 years.
