\"\"<\/a><\/span>The \u201cBlue Box Renaissance\u201d project was initiated in 2009 in collaboration with Devon Stout, Distribution Manager for the Meadville Tribune. It was intended to celebrate community, promote citizen engagement, encourage reading and literacy, and enhance Meadville\u2019s Public Art Trail. The artistically transformed newspaper distribution racks were developed through a College \u2013 Community Collaboration. Sixteen Boxes were completed and placed in designated locations in downtown Meadville and adjacent communities. Pictured here (top photo) is a rack being painted at a Second Saturday Celebration at Meadville\u2019s historic Market House during the summer of 2011. Below are snapshots of some of the other boxes completed between 2010 – 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n
