Advanced Studio Seminars

Course Description

These courses provide art majors and art minors an opportunity to integrate foundational experience and are designed to provide an opportunity to gain experience crafting an artist’s proposal and developing a body of work based on that proposal, for presentation at the end of the semester in the College’s Art Galleries.

The larger enduring questions for these seminars focus on development of a studio work ethic to support the creative process and development of one’s work. Students consider the ways in which creative ideas unfold into a body of work, and how that body of work changes through the creative and conceptual process.
